Automatic Payments – Google $5M California Play Store Subscription Settlement

Paid for a Google Play subscription renewal in California? You may be getting money automatically from a $5 million class action settlement. No claim form needed.

This case involves subscriptions sold through the Google Play Store and how they were automatically renewed. If you qualify, your payment will be sent without you needing to do anything.

Why This Lawsuit Exists?

The lawsuit claims Google LLC did not fully comply with California’s automatic renewal law when selling subscriptions through the Google Play Store.

Specifically, plaintiffs alleged that required disclosures around auto-renewing subscriptions were not properly provided.

Google denies any wrongdoing but agreed to create a $5,000,000 settlement fund to resolve the claims and avoid further litigation.
