Arizer Solo II Portable Vaporizers Recalled Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

Have an Arizer Solo II vaporizer at home?
It’s under recall due to a serious fire and burn hazard linked to the battery. If your unit is affected, you can get a free replacement — but you’ll need to follow specific steps to dispose of it safely.

Here’s what you need to know and do.

What’s Being Recalled and Why

Arizer Solo II portable vaporizers are being recalled because the internal lithium-ion battery can overheat, which may cause:

  • Smoke
  • Ejected material
  • Or even fire

The company has received nine reports of overheating, smoking, or material ejection — no injuries have been reported.

What You Should Do

If you own a recalled unit:

  1. Stop using the vaporizer immediately.

  3. Once confirmed, you’ll receive:
    • A new replacement device
    • Special wax to disable the recalled one

To disable the recalled vaporizer:

  • Insert the provided wax into the charging port
  • Then dispose of the device at a local hazardous waste or battery recycling facility
  • Do NOT throw it in the trash or regular recycling — lithium-ion batteries pose a serious fire risk if handled improperly.
