If you accessed the Thriveworks patient portal between April 25, 2023, and September 5, 2025, you may be eligible to claim a cash payment from a $1.9 million class action settlement.
The lawsuit alleged Thriveworks shared sensitive information and private communications with Google and LinkedIn without users’ consent. While Thriveworks denies any wrongdoing, the company agreed to settle the case and make changes to its website practices.
To receive a payment, eligible class members must submit a claim by July 21, 2026.
What happened?
The lawsuit claimed that Thriveworks Administrative Services LLC and Thriveworks Inc. disclosed sensitive information and private communications from the Thriveworks website to Google and LinkedIn without users’ consent.
According to the lawsuit, these actions may have violated state and federal privacy laws, including the:
- Florida Security of Communications Act
- Electronic Communications Privacy Act
As part of the settlement, Thriveworks has also agreed to review the software used on its website and help ensure patient medical information cannot be collected without proper consent.
Who is eligible?
You may qualify if:
- You were a Thriveworks patient in the United States, and
- You accessed the www.thriveworks.com patient portal
- Between April 25, 2023, and September 5, 2025
If you received a settlement notice, you may already have the information needed to file a claim.
How much money can you get?
Eligible class members who submit a valid claim may receive: up to $10.00 in cash
The settlement provides up to $1.9 million to cover:
- Valid claims
- Settlement administration costs
- Attorneys’ fees and costs
- Court-approved service awards
The final payment amount may depend on the number of approved claims submitted.

How to file a claim?
To receive a payment, you must submit a claim by July 21, 2026.
You’ll Need:
- The Login ID from your settlement notice
- The PIN from your settlement notice (for online claims)
- Proof of a Google or LinkedIn account
Acceptable proof includes a screenshot of your Google or LinkedIn account showing a name that matches the name on your claim form.
File Online
Complete the online claim form using the Login ID and PIN provided in your settlement notice.
If you cannot locate your notice, contact the Settlement Administrator to request your Login ID and PIN.
File by Mail
