Subaru EyeSight Class Action Settlement – Get Up to 75% Back on Repairs

If your Subaru’s EyeSight safety system didn’t work as expected — especially features like Pre-Collision Braking, Rear Auto Braking, or Lane Keep Assist — you may be eligible for reimbursement or a free warranty extension.

Why Is There a Lawsuit?

Drivers say Subaru’s EyeSight system didn’t perform properly — sometimes failing to brake or steer correctly, even when the system was supposed to assist.

Subaru denies any problems, but agreed to a $2.5 million settlement to resolve the claims.

Who Qualifies?

You may be eligible if:

  • You own or lease a Subaru with EyeSight, AND
  • You’ve had issues with the system, including braking, lane assist, or other safety features

  • Legacy: Certain 2013–2022
  • Outback: Certain 2013–2022
  • Impreza: Certain 2015–2023
  • Crosstrek: Certain 2015–2023
  • Forester: Certain 2014–2021
  • Ascent: Certain 2019–2022
  • WRX: Certain 2016–2021
  • BRZ: Certain 2022–2024

How Much Can You Get?

You could receive:

  • Up to 75% back on out-of-pocket repair costs (for eligible EyeSight issues)
  • A free warranty extension covering future EyeSight repairs caused by camera or sensor failures

 

Warranty Extension Details:
  • Starts July 29, 2025
  • Covers 75% of parts + labor
  • Lasts 4 years or 48,000 miles from your in-service date
  • If your warranty expired, coverage extends 4 extra months from July 29, 2025
  • Applies only to authorized Subaru repairs
