What happened?
The lawsuit alleges Alpha Baking Co. failed to adequately protect sensitive personal information during a targeted cyberattack that occurred in January 2025.
According to the case, the breach may have exposed information including:
- Names
- Addresses
- Dates of birth
- Social Security numbers
- Driver’s license numbers
- Financial account information
- Protected health information
Plaintiffs claim the company should have implemented stronger cybersecurity protections to prevent unauthorized access to consumer data.
Who is eligible?
You may qualify if:
- You are a living individual
- You received a notice from Alpha Baking Co. stating your private information was impacted in the January 2025 data incident
If you received a settlement notice with a Unique ID and PIN, you are likely included in the settlement class.
How much money can you get?
Eligible class members can choose from different benefit options depending on their situation.
Cash Payment A — Documented Losses
You may receive up to $4,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses related to the data breach.
Covered expenses may include:
- Identity theft or fraud losses
- Credit monitoring expenses
- Credit freeze or unfreeze fees
- Costs to replace identification documents
- Postage or mailing expenses related to the breach
The losses must:
- Have occurred between January 23, 2025 and June 22, 2026
- Be traceable to the data incident
- Not already be reimbursed by another source
Cash Payment B — Alternate Cash Payment
If you do not have documented losses, you can instead choose a one-time $75 cash payment.
No documentation is required for this option.
