Recall Alert: BISSELL Steam Shot OmniReach Steam Cleaners

If you own a BISSELL handheld steam cleaner, this is one you don’t want to ignore. A recent recall affects over 1.7 million units due to a serious burn hazard tied to the product’s attachments.

The recall was announced on April 9, 2026, after reports that certain BISSELL steam cleaner attachments can unexpectedly detach during use.

When that happens, the unit can expel hot water or steam onto users, creating a risk of serious burns.

  • 206 incidents reported
  • 161 burn injuries, including one second-degree burn

Because of this safety risk, BISSELL is offering a free remedy to affected consumers.
