Super Wheels Inc. (formerly Allite Inc.) has announced a recall of Vaast A/1 bicycles and frames after reports that some frames developed hairline fractures near a weld, leading to frame tube separation. This defect poses a serious fall hazard to riders.
The Vaast A/1 frame can develop small cracks near welded joints, which may cause the frame tubes to separate during use. This can result in sudden falls and injuries.
So far, 22 fracture reports and 3 tube separations have been recorded — one causing a minor injury after a rider fell.

This recall covers about 1,860 bicycles and frames sold in the U.S. (plus 4 in Canada).

35 bicycle models and 15 frameset models in total
Sold in Berry Red, Sea Blue, Matte Black, and Black Forest Green
“VAAST” logo appears on both sides of the down tube
“Model A/1” printed on the left side near the rear seat
