Why was there a lawsuit?
The lawsuit alleged that Labcorp failed to adequately protect patients’ personal and health information during a cybersecurity incident involving American Medical Collection Agency (AMCA).

Labcorp transmitted your personal information to American Medical Collection Agency (AMCA), also known as Retrieval-Masters Creditors Bureau Inc., and
Your information was contained in the AMCA computer systems affected by the cybersecurity incident between August 2018 and March 2019.
If you received a settlement notice with a Class Member ID, you may be included in the settlement.
How much could you receive?

Up to $5,000 for documented losses
You may claim reimbursement for up to $5,000 in unreimbursed costs, expenses, or losses resulting from identity theft, medical fraud, or misuse of your personal information.
Eligible expenses may include:
Professional services, such as legal or credit repair assistance
Credit monitoring purchased between August 1, 2018, and September 3, 2026
Notary, fax, postage, copying, mileage, and long-distance phone charges
Up to 10 hours of documented time spent addressing identity theft or fraud, paid at $25 per hour

Alternative cash payment
If you do not have documented out-of-pocket losses, you may submit a claim for an alternative cash payment estimated at $50.
The final payment amount may increase or decrease depending on:

Administrative costs

Service awards
Taxes
The remaining balance in the settlement fund
Two years of medical monitoring

How to file a claim?
Eligible class members can:

Download, complete, and mail the official claim form to the settlement administrator.
For online claims, you will need the Class Member ID included in your settlement notice.
