Ecoshield $924K Employment Settlement: Washington Workers Could Get About $1,225

If you worked for Ecoshield in Washington and signed restrictive employment agreements, you may be getting a payment automatically from a $924,000 class action settlement.

The case centers on allegations that Ecoshield required employees to agree to restrictive employment covenants that may have violated Washington law.

Why this lawsuit exists?

The lawsuit claimed that The Shield Co Management, LLC d/b/a Ecoshield Management Co. LLC required certain workers to agree to restrictive employment covenants that allegedly violated Washington law.

According to the lawsuit, the policies may have:

  • Restricted employees through noncompetition agreements
  • Limited workers’ ability to take secondary jobs or “moonlight”

Ecoshield denied wrongdoing but agreed to settle the case to avoid continued litigation costs and risks. The court has not ruled that Ecoshield violated the law.
