Why this lawsuit exists?
The lawsuit claimed that The Shield Co Management, LLC d/b/a Ecoshield Management Co. LLC required certain workers to agree to restrictive employment covenants that allegedly violated Washington law.
According to the lawsuit, the policies may have:
- Restricted employees through noncompetition agreements
- Limited workers’ ability to take secondary jobs or “moonlight”
Ecoshield denied wrongdoing but agreed to settle the case to avoid continued litigation costs and risks. The court has not ruled that Ecoshield violated the law.

- You worked in Washington state
- You earned less than twice the applicable Washington minimum hourly wage

How to file a claim?
The settlement administrator will automatically send payments to eligible class members.
Payment options:

- 50% goes to the Washington unclaimed property fund
