If you’ve purchased Bariatric Fusion iron-containing multivitamins, it’s time to double-check the bottle. Some were sold with non–child-resistant caps, putting young children at risk of serious injury or even death if accidentally swallowed.
Here’s what’s going on — and how to get a free replacement cap.
What’s Being Recalled and Why
Blueroot Health is recalling certain Bariatric Fusion multivitamin bottles because the caps are not child-resistant, which violates federal safety standards under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act.
These bottles contain 45mg of iron, which can be deadly if ingested by children in large amounts. So far, no injuries have been reported, but the potential risk is serious.
