If you purchased non-organic Alderfer eggs labeled as coming from “free-roaming hens,” you may be entitled to a cash payment — even without a receipt.
Why is there a lawsuit?
A class action alleges that Alderfer falsely advertised some of its non-organic eggs as being produced by “free-roaming hens,” which may violate New York’s deceptive acts and false advertising laws.
While Alderfer denies any wrongdoing, they’ve agreed to a $287,500 settlement to resolve the case and avoid further litigation.
