  • Sole inserts (toe/heel pads) may deteriorate and fail

 

No injuries have been reported, but the risk is significant enough that consumers are being asked to stop using the boots immediately.

  • You purchased Head ski boots sold between September 2015 and March 2026
  • Your boots are from model years 2016 through 2022
  • They include fluorescent yellow components (either shell or sole inserts)
  • Your boots have a six-digit article code located on the heel area (inner side of the left boot)

 

About 1,365 units in the U.S. are included in this recall.

Follow these steps:

  1. Stop using the ski boots immediately
  2. Locate your article code (6-digit number on the inner heel of the left boot)
  3. Contact Head USA:
  4. Follow instructions to:
    • Return the boots (if required), or
    • Receive replacement parts or a new pair

 

For boots with shell issues, you’ll receive a replacement pair of equivalent boots.
For sole insert issues, you’ll receive replacement pads that can be installed by you or a ski shop.
