Progressive Insurance Debt Collection Settlement – Florida Residents May Qualify

If you live in Florida and got a late-night debt collection email from Progressive Insurance, you may be entitled to cash from a new $500,000 settlement.

Progressive has agreed to resolve claims that it violated the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA) by sending emails between 9:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

Why is there a lawsuit?

A Florida resident sued Progressive, claiming the company broke the law by sending collection emails at night or early morning hours—times the FCCPA says are off-limits.

Progressive denies wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to resolve the case.
