No Proof: Menards $775K Bonded Abrasive Wheels Settlement – Claim Up to $50

Claim up to $50 cash or free replacement wheels. No proof required for many claims.

If you bought Menards Performax or Masterforce bonded abrasive wheels between June 10, 2018 and April 22, 2026, you may be eligible for a payment or product replacement from a $775,000 class action settlement.

The lawsuit claims Menard Inc. and related companies did not clearly disclose expiration date information on certain abrasive wheels. The companies deny wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation.

What happened?

The class action alleges that:

  • Certain Menards-branded abrasive wheels did not have clear expiration date disclosures
  • Consumers may have purchased products without knowing they could degrade over time
  • This allegedly affected product safety and performance

Who is eligible?

You may be included if you:

  • Purchased Performax or Masterforce bonded abrasive wheels
  • Bought them at retail in the U.S. or territories
  • Purchased them between June 10, 2018 and April 22, 2026

This includes:

  • Individual consumers
  • Households
  • Businesses or other entities (non-resale purchases only)

How much money can you get?

There are two claim paths depending on whether you have proof of purchase:

No proof of purchase

  • Up to 5 replacement wheels per household
  • No receipts required
  • Each wheel valued at about $3
  • If claims are high, distribution may be reduced, but everyone gets at least one wheel if eligible

With proof of purchase

  • Cash reimbursement equal to purchase price
  • Up to a maximum of $50 per claimant
  • Receipts or credit card statements required
