Mid America Pet Food $5.5M Settlement — No Proof Needed for Some Claims

If you bought certain Mid America pet food products during the recall period, you may qualify for money back or reimbursement for pet injuries—with no proof required for some claims. Here’s the quick breakdown so you can check eligibility and file before the deadline.

Why the Lawsuit Exists?

A class action lawsuit alleges that Mid America Pet Food sold pet food contaminated with dangerous levels of Salmonella, which can cause serious illness or death in pets.

The company denies any wrongdoing, but agreed to a $5.5 million settlement to avoid the cost and uncertainty of ongoing litigation.
