If you’ve got a NordicTrack RW900 rowing machine, you’ll want to hit pause before your next workout. iFIT has announced a major recall after reports that the rower’s screen console can overheat and even catch fire.
The NordicTrack Model NTRW19147 rowing machines have a defect in the screen console that can cause it to overheat, smoke, or ignite.
So far, there have been eight incidents, including two fires and six reports of smoking or melting, leading to about $6,000 in property damage.
Thankfully, no injuries have been reported — but iFIT is taking the issue seriously.

This recall covers about 44,800 rowing machines in the U.S. and 700 in Canada.
