IcyBreeze Cooling has recalled about 22,600 IcyBreeze Buddy portable misting fans because they can overheat while charging and catch fire.

There have been 7 reports of overheating, including 2 fires — but luckily, no injuries so far.

  • 1.5-liter water tank for misting
  • Runs on AC power or a rechargeable 10,000 mAh lithium-ion battery

  1. Stop using the fan immediately — especially stop charging it.

    • Submit a photo of the fan with the power cord cut
  4. After that, dispose of the fan and battery following local hazardous waste regulations.

 

You don’t need a receipt to get your credit.
You’ll receive a $150 credit for use at participating Solo Brands (like Solo Stove, Chubbies, ISLE, or Oru Kayak).
