What happened?
The lawsuit claimed Barefoot Dreams disclosed customers’ personally identifiable information (PII) to third parties through tracking, analytics, and advertising technologies, including Meta Platforms Inc. and Attentive Mobile Inc.
According to the plaintiffs, this allegedly violated several state and federal privacy laws, including the Florida Security of Communications Act, the Electronic Communications Privacy Act, the California Invasion of Privacy Act, the Comprehensive Computer Data Access and Fraud Act, and the California Constitution.
