Belkin Recalls Portable Power Banks & Wireless Charging Stands Due to Fire Risk

Belkin is recalling several portable power banks and wireless charging stands because the lithium-ion batteries can overheat, creating a fire and burn hazard.

 

No injuries were reported in the notice, but overheating can pose serious safety risks, so the company is offering refunds.

Which Products Are Affected

The recall includes about 83,500 units in the U.S. (and 2,385 in Canada). Only specific models and serial numbers are affected.

Recalled Products:

Wireless Charging Stand

  • Model: MMA008

  • Serial numbers: 14-digit numbers starting with “57X”

  • Location: Serial and model printed on the bottom of the stand

  • Color: Black

 

Portable Power Banks

  • Model: BPB002

    • Serial numbers: 14-digit numbers starting with “35S”

    • Location: Printed on the back of the power bank

    • Color: Black

 

  • Model: PB0003

    • All serial numbers included

    • Colors: Black or white

    • Location: Printed on the back of the power bank

What You Should Do

To stay safe:

  • Stop using the recalled product immediately.

  • Do not charge it, plug it in, or continue using it in any form.

  • Hold onto the product until you complete the refund process.

 

Belkin is offering full refunds for all recalled units.
