Former Walgreens employees in Oregon may be eligible for a cash payment from a $2.5 million class action settlement. No claim form is required.
This settlement covers workers who were terminated and received their final paycheck late, potentially in violation of state wage laws. If that sounds familiar, you could receive a payment automatically.
Why This Lawsuit Exists?
The lawsuit alleged that Walgreen Pharmacy Services entities failed to provide final paychecks on time after employees were terminated, violating Oregon wage payment laws (ORS 652.140 and ORS 652.150).
Specifically, the claim is that some employees received their final paychecks six or more days after termination, which may not meet legal requirements.
Walgreens denies wrongdoing but agreed to pay $2.5 million to resolve the claims and avoid further litigation.
Who Qualifies?
You may be included in the settlement if:
You were employed by Walgreens
You were terminated between April 6, 2018, and April 6, 2021
You did not abandon or walk off the job
You received your final paycheck 6 or more days after termination
If you meet these criteria, you are likely already part of the settlement class.
How Much Can You Get?
Eligible class members will receive a pro rata cash payment from the settlement fund.
Your payment amount depends on:
The number of eligible class members
The length of delay in receiving your final paycheck
All payments will also include 9% statutory interest, which may increase your total payout.
