If you worked as a nonexempt employee for certain AT&T companies in Washington between July 11, 2022, and May 6, 2026, you may be eligible to receive a payment from a $1.75 million class action settlement.
The settlement resolves claims that AT&T allegedly failed to properly compensate employees for missed and noncompliant meal and rest breaks in violation of Washington wage and hour laws.
AT&T denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle the lawsuit to avoid the cost and uncertainty of continued litigation.
Why does this lawsuit exist?
The lawsuit alleged that AT&T failed to properly compensate nonexempt employees for:
Missed meal breaks
Noncompliant meal breaks
Missed rest breaks
Noncompliant rest breaks
According to the lawsuit, these practices violated Washington wage and hour laws.
The court has not decided whether AT&T violated the law. Instead, both sides agreed to settle the case without further litigation.
Who qualifies for the settlement?
You may qualify if you worked as a nonexempt employee in Washington for any of the following companies between July 11, 2022, and May 6, 2026:
AT&T Mobility Services LLC
New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC
AT&T Enterprises, LLC (formerly AT&T Corp.)
AT&T Services, Inc.
AT&T Inc.
The settlement class includes approximately 1,028 eligible employees.
How much can you receive?
AT&T agreed to create a $1,750,000 settlement fund.
After approved deductions for attorneys’ fees, litigation expenses, settlement administration costs, and service awards, the remaining funds will be distributed to eligible class members.
Your payment will be:
A pro rata cash payment
Based on the total number of weeks you worked during the qualifying period
According to the settlement:
50% of each payment will be treated as wages.
50% will be treated as nonwage damages.

Do you need to file a claim?
No.
Eligible class members do not need to submit a claim form to receive a payment.
However, if you prefer an electronic payment, you may submit a Payment Selection Form online. Otherwise, payments will be sent by paper check to the address on file.

When will payments be sent?
If the court grants final approval and the settlement becomes final, the settlement administrator expects to issue payments approximately 52 days after final approval.
