If you used IdealImage.com to schedule a consultation in the past few years, you may qualify for a payment from a $3.5 million class action settlement.
The lawsuit claims that Ideal Image used website tracking technology that shared certain user information with third parties without consent. While the company denies violating any laws, it agreed to settle the case and create a settlement fund for affected users.
If you scheduled a consultation online during the eligible period, here’s what to know, and how to file a claim.
Why This Lawsuit Exists?
The class action lawsuit alleges that Ideal Image used tracking technology on its website that disclosed users’ personally identifiable information (PII) to third parties without consent.
According to the complaint, the company used Meta Pixel, a tracking tool, which allegedly shared information from consumers who scheduled consultations through the website. Plaintiffs claim this information was shared with Meta Platforms Inc., the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, without proper notice or consent.
Ideal Image denies the allegations but agreed to a $3.5 million settlement to resolve the claims and avoid the risks and expenses of continued litigation.
As part of the settlement, Ideal Image also agreed to suspend the use of tracking technologies that disclose user PII to third parties without consent.

Additionally, claimants must affirm they had a Meta account during the class period when submitting a claim.

How Much Can You Get?
The settlement creates a $3,500,000 fund to resolve the lawsuit. Eligible class members who submit a valid claim may receive up to $17 in cash
The exact amount may be reduced on a pro rata basis depending on the number of valid claims submitted.
Settlement funds will also cover:
