Sportsman’s Warehouse $4.5M Privacy Settlement Could Pay PA Buyers Up to $107

If you lived in Pennsylvania and reserved a firearm online through Sportsman’s Warehouse for in-store pickup, you could qualify for a cash payment from a $4.5 million class action settlement.

The lawsuit claims Sportsman’s Warehouse shared information related to online firearm purchases with third parties without customer consent. While the company denies wrongdoing, it agreed to settle the case to avoid continued litigation and trial costs.

What happened?

The lawsuit alleges that Sportsman’s Warehouse disclosed information about online firearm reservations and purchases to third parties in violation of Pennsylvania privacy and firearms laws, including:

  • The Pennsylvania Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act (WESCA)
  • The Pennsylvania Uniform Firearms Act (UFA)

 

According to the complaint, the alleged disclosures involved firearm orders placed online for in-store completion and pickup.

Who is eligible?

You may qualify if:

  • You resided in Pennsylvania
  • You ordered and reserved a firearm online.
  • The purchase was intended to be completed in-store
  • The order happened between January 1, 2020, and March 13, 2024

 

To receive payment, class members must submit a valid claim form.

How much money can you get?

Eligible class members can receive a cash payment of up to $107. The final amount may vary depending on:

  • The total number of valid claims filed
  • Court-approved costs and fees

How to file a claim?

To submit a claim online, you’ll need the Unique ID and PIN.  These were included in the settlement notice sent to eligible class members.

You can also print and mail a paper claim form to the settlement administrator.

  • Zelle
  • Paper check
