If you own a Thermos Stainless King food jar or Sportsman bottle, it’s worth checking the model number today.

Thermos announced a major recall involving about 8.2 million food jars and bottles after reports that the stopper can forcefully eject when opened, creating a risk of serious impact injuries and cuts.

According to the recall notice, some consumers reportedly suffered injuries requiring medical attention, including three reports of permanent vision loss after being struck in the eye.
