Recall Alert: International Motors, LLC with Adaptive Cruise Control

International Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2026–2027 MV vehicles due to a braking issue tied to the vehicle’s software.

When using adaptive cruise control (ACC) or hill hold assist, the system may fail to activate the brakes as expected.

That matters because:

  • The vehicle may not slow down or stop automatically when it should

  • This can increase stopping distance without warning

  • And ultimately, it raises the risk of a crash

According to the recall notice, there is no warning indicator to alert the driver if this issue occurs.

No crashes, injuries, or fatalities were reported in the recall documentation, but the risk is considered serious because it affects braking performance.

Which Products Are Affected

This recall is limited to specific heavy-duty vehicles:

  • Make/Model: International MV

  • Model Years: 2026–2027

  • Estimated units affected: 204 vehicles

More specifically, the affected vehicles were built during the following dates:

  • November 13, 2025 – December 8, 2025 (2026 models)

  • November 21, 2025 – December 8, 2025 (2027 models)

  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Stop & Driver Go

  • Allison 2000 or 3000 Series Generation 6 transmission

What You Should Do

If you own or operate one of these vehicles, here’s what to do:

  • Be cautious when using adaptive cruise control

  • Do not rely on the system to brake automatically

  • Schedule a repair as soon as possible

The fix is straightforward:

  • Dealers will update the brake ECU (electronic control unit) software
