Recall Alert: Fisher & Paykel Gas Range – Free Repair for Burn Hazard

If you own a high-end gas range, this is one you’ll want to check right away. A recent recall affects certain Fisher & Paykel professional gas ranges, and while this isn’t a class action settlement, it does offer a direct remedy you can take advantage of right now.

Why This Recall Was Issued

The recall was issued because the oven in certain gas ranges can experience delayed ignition. That might sound technical, but here’s the real risk:

  • Gas can build up inside the oven
  • When it finally ignites, it can cause the oven door to open suddenly
  • This creates a serious burn hazard

There have already been 18 reports of delayed ignition and 1 reported minor burn injury.

Who Is Affected

You may be affected if you purchased a:

  • Fisher & Paykel 30″, 36″, or 48″ professional gas range
  • Models in the RGV3 series
  • With serial numbers starting with: EEV, ERV, EAV, EYV, EUV, ELV, or RFV
  • Sold between June 2025 and March 2026

These ranges were sold at appliance retailers nationwide for between $6,200 and $14,000. The model and serial number can be found on the rating plate (behind the front kick strip or on the back of the unit).
