Peerstar 2023 Data Breach Settlement: Claim Up to $5,000 + Credit Monitoring

If you received a notice from Peerstar LLC about its February 2023 data breach, you may qualify for cash payments up to $5,000, reimbursement for out-of-pocket losses, lost time compensation, and two years of credit monitoring.

This quick guide breaks down what happened, who’s eligible, how much you can get, and how to file a claim before the deadline.

Why This Lawsuit Exists?

In February 2023, cybercriminals accessed files containing sensitive personal and health information of Peerstar’s current and former patients. Exposed data may have included:

  • Full names
  • Social Security numbers
  • State-issued IDs
  • Financial account info
  • Dates of birth
  • Digital signatures

A lawsuit claimed Peerstar failed to adequately safeguard this data. Peerstar denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to resolve the claims.
