Why this lawsuit exists?
The lawsuit alleged that Oak View Group LLC failed to adequately protect personal information during a targeted cyberattack discovered in November 2023.
According to the complaint, the breach may have exposed sensitive information, including names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, demographic information, and government-issued identification, potentially increasing the risk of identity theft and fraud.
Who qualifies?
You may qualify if:
- You received a notice stating that your personally identifiable information may have been compromised in the Oak View Group data breach, and
- The notice was sent in or around January 2024.
The settlement covers current and former employees whose information was potentially affected by the incident.
How much can you receive?
Eligible class members may choose one or more available benefits, depending on their circumstances.
Reimbursement for Documented Losses – You may claim up to $5,000 for documented out-of-pocket losses related to the data breach that occurred between November 26, 2023, and August 15, 2026.

Pro Rata Cash Payment – If you do not submit a claim for out-of-pocket losses, you may instead claim a one-time cash payment estimated at:
- Approximately $150 for California residents
- Approximately $50 for residents of all other states
Final payment amounts may increase or decrease depending on the number of valid claims submitted. No documentation is required to request this payment.

How to file a claim?
Eligible class members can submit a claim online or download and mail a paper claim form. To file online, you’ll need the Unique ID and PIN from your settlement notice. If you no longer have your notice, you can contact the Settlement Administrator to request your login information.
If you’re claiming reimbursement for out-of-pocket losses, you’ll also need supporting documentation, such as:
- Bank or credit card statements
- Receipts or invoices
- Documentation of fraudulent charges
