JOOLA Pickleball Paddles Class Action Settlement

If you purchased or still own a JOOLA “Gen 3” pickleball paddle, you may be entitled to benefits under a proposed class action settlement. The lawsuit claims JOOLA marketed certain paddles as USA Pickleball approved when they were not. While JOOLA denies any wrongdoing, the company has agreed to settle, and affected consumers can now file claims.

Here’s what you need to know if you think you qualify.

Why Was This Lawsuit Filed?

The case was brought in the Southern District of Florida. Consumers alleged that JOOLA promoted its “Gen 3” paddles as meeting USA Pickleball approval standards. According to the lawsuit, these paddles were not officially approved for sanctioned tournament play, which could affect competitive players who purchased them based on that representation.

JOOLA has not admitted to any liability but agreed to provide compensation through a court-approved settlement process.

Who’s Eligible?

You are a Settlement Class Member if you live in the United States, you currently own and have in your possession a JOOLA Gen 3 paddle, and you did not accept JOOLA’s earlier tender-and-return offer

The settlement covers these paddles:

  • Tyson McGuffin Magnus 3 (14mm & 16mm)

  • Collin Johns Scorpeus 3 16mm

  • Anna Bright Scorpeus 3 14mm

  • Simone Jardim Hyperion 3 16mm

  • Ben Johns Hyperion 3 (14mm & 16mm)

  • Ben Johns Perseus 3 (14mm & 16mm)

If you previously returned some paddles but still have others, you may still qualify for those remaining paddles.
