AquaStar (USA) Corp is recalling three types of shrimp products sold under the Kroger, Kroger Mercado, and AquaStar brands.
The recall is due to concerns the shrimp may have been packed or held under insanitary conditions that could have led to contamination with Cesium-137 (Cs-137), a man-made radioactive substance.
No illnesses have been reported at this time, but repeated exposure to Cs-137 over time could increase the risk of cancer.
