$8.5M Nuance MOVEit Data Breach Settlement – See If You Qualify

If you received a data breach notice from Nuance Communications about the 2023 MOVEit security incident, you may be eligible for cash payments up to $12,500, plus two years of free credit and medical data monitoring. Claims must be filed by December 24, 2025.

Why the Lawsuit Exists

Between May 27 and May 31, 2023, hackers exploited a vulnerability in the MOVEit file transfer software used by Nuance Communications. This breach exposed personal and medical data belonging to millions of individuals.

A class action lawsuit claimed that Nuance failed to safeguard sensitive information and did not warn consumers promptly. While Nuance denies wrongdoing, it agreed to an $8.5 million settlement to resolve these claims.
