$550K Oklahoma Earthquake Damage Class Action Settlement

If your home, business, or property in Oklahoma was damaged by earthquakes in recent years, you may be eligible for a cash payment from a $555,000 class action settlement.

The lawsuit claims certain oil and gas companies operated wastewater disposal wells that allegedly contributed to earthquakes across Oklahoma, including a 5.1-magnitude earthquake near Prague, Oklahoma on February 2, 2024. The companies deny wrongdoing but agreed to settle.

Why This Lawsuit Exists?

This case centers on property damage caused by earthquakes.

According to the lawsuit, wastewater disposal wells operated by:

  • Circle 9 Resources

  • Culbreath Oil & Gas Co., Inc.

may have contributed to earthquakes, foreshocks, and aftershocks across Oklahoma. Property owners say these seismic events caused structural damage to homes, businesses, and other real estate.

No admission of fault was made, but the settlement provides money to help cover documented damages.
