If you received a notice from PurFoods (Mom’s Meals) about your personal data being compromised, you may be eligible for money or free credit monitoring from a new $4.25M settlement.
Why is there a lawsuit?
Between January 16 – February 22, 2023, PurFoods experienced a cyberattack. Personal information of about 1.25 million people may have been accessed or stolen.
A lawsuit (Douglas et al v. PurFoods, Inc.) claimed the company failed to protect that data. PurFoods denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation.
Who qualifies?
You’re included if you:
Live in the U.S. and
Received a notice in August or September 2023 that your personal information may have been affected.
Excluded: PurFoods officers/directors, certain court staff, opt-outs, or anyone responsible for the incident.
