Anker Innovations has recalled more than 1.1 million PowerCore 10000 (Model A1263) power banks sold in the U.S. after discovering a potential battery defect that could cause overheating, melting, smoke, or fire hazards.
The recall is being conducted with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

Risk: Lithium-ion battery may overheat and catch fire
Incidents: Reports of overheating and melting plastic components prompted the recall
Reason: Manufacturing issue in certain batches (2016–2019)

To confirm if your device is affected, check the label on the bottom of your charger for “PowerCore 10000” and Model A1263. Then verify the serial number on Anker’s recall site.
What You Should Do
Stop using the power bank immediately
Do not throw it away or recycle it with regular batteries
Confirm your serial number and order number to check eligibility
File a recall claim to receive either:
A $30 Anker.com gift card, or
A free replacement power bank (Anker 10K, 22.5W, Model A1388)
