23andMe Data Breach Settlement: See If You Qualify for Cash or 5 Years of Monitoring

If you used 23andMe between May 1 and Oct. 1, 2023 and later got a notice saying your data was compromised in the October 2023 cyberattack, you may be eligible for part of the $30M–$50M class action settlement — including cash payments up to $10,000 and five full years of privacy + genetic monitoring.

Here’s the fast version so you can scan, see what you’re owed, and file your claim before the deadline.

In October 2023, 23andMe (now operating as Chrome) announced a cyberattack that exposed sensitive information belonging to about 6.4 million U.S. customers — including genetic data, ancestry records, raw genotype information and more.

Multiple lawsuits said 23andMe didn’t adequately protect user data.
23andMe denies the claims but agreed to settle for $30M–$50M to resolve the litigation.
