If Varsity Brands notified you that your personal information may have been exposed in a cybersecurity incident on or around May 22, 2024, you could be eligible for cash payments, credit monitoring, and reimbursement of out-of-pocket losses. Here’s what you need to know—and how to claim before the deadline.
Why This Settlement Exists?
The lawsuit alleges Varsity Brands failed to adequately protect personal information during a network breach. The exposed data could include:
Bank or financial account info
Credit report or identity theft protection purchases
Cell phone, data, or long-distance charges
Postage, gas, or other reasonable expenses
Losses from fraud, identity theft, or similar victimization
Varsity Brands denies any wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid lengthy litigation.
Who Qualifies?
You may be eligible if you:
Reside in the United States
Had personal or private information potentially compromised in the May 2024 breach
Were notified about the incident (even if you didn’t receive a notice, you may still qualify if your information was affected)
How Much You Could Get?
Out-of-pocket losses: Up to $6,500 per person for documented, unreimbursed losses related to the breach
Cash payment: Estimated $100 per person, pro rata depending on total claims
Credit monitoring: Two years of credit monitoring and identity theft protection at no cost for all valid claimants
