Received a notice about the RINA Accountants & Advisors data breach? You may be eligible to claim up to $10,000, plus additional cash and two years of credit monitoring.
RINA (now known as Aprio) agreed to pay $400,000 to resolve a class action lawsuit over a cybersecurity incident. If your Social Security number or other personal information was potentially compromised, this post breaks down exactly what to do next.
Claim Deadline: March 24, 2026
Why This Lawsuit Exists?
The lawsuit alleges that on or about February 28, 2022, an unauthorized third party carried out a cyberattack on certain RINA computer systems.
As a result, personally identifiable information (PII), including Social Security numbers, may have been compromised. Approximately 6,534 individuals were affected.
RINA denies any wrongdoing and says it had strong defenses. The company agreed to settle to avoid the cost and risk of continued litigation. The settlement is not an admission of liability.
Who Qualifies?
You may be a Settlement Class Member if you received notice that your PII, including your Social Security number, was potentially compromised in the RINA data breach disclosed on or about August 1, 2022.
If you received a notice letter, check it for your Unique ID and PIN, you’ll need those to file online.
