Werner is recalling its 20’ and 24’ Multi-Max Pro multi-purpose ladders because the locking mechanism can jam and fail to fully lock, creating a serious fall hazard.
So far, there have been 18 reports of falls, including 14 injuries such as bruises, lacerations, head injuries, and fractures to the wrist, leg, and ribs.

The recall covers about 122,250 ladders sold in the U.S. The affected models include:
Werner Multi-Max Pro 20’ ladder (Model ALMP-20IAA)
Werner Multi-Max Pro 24’ ladder (Model ALMP-24IAA)

Blue label on the side rail with the word “Werner” and “MULTI MAX PRO”
Long black rope on the back section
Sold at Home Depot stores nationwide and online at HomeDepot.com from November 2021 through February 2024. Retail price ranged from $200 to $281.

Stop using the ladder immediately.

Dispose of the recalled ladder following Werner’s directions.
Once disposal is confirmed, Werner will issue a full refund in the form of a check.
