If you used NBA Top Shot and Facebook between June 15, 2020, and January 30, 2025, you may be owed $36–$122 from a new class action settlement.
Why Is There a Lawsuit?
This lawsuit claims NBA Properties, Inc. and Dapper Labs, Inc. shared users’ private data with Meta (Facebook) using a tracking tool (the Meta Pixel) — without consent, violating the Video Privacy Protection Act (VPPA) and California law.
The companies deny wrongdoing but agreed to a $7.05 million settlement to resolve the claims.
