If you got a letter from Frontier Communications about the April 2024 data breach, you may be owed money (or free credit monitoring) from a $5.64 million settlement. Here’s what you need to know—and how to claim your share before the deadline.
Why is there a lawsuit?
In April 2024, hackers accessed files in Frontier’s systems containing sensitive information like names, dates of birth, and Social Security numbers. Customers argued that Frontier failed to protect their data. While Frontier denies wrongdoing, they agreed to settle for $5.64M.
Who qualifies?
You’re included if you:
Live in the U.S., AND
Received a notice from Frontier (around June 2024) saying your private information may have been exposed in the April 14, 2024 breach.

How much can people get?
