Automatic Payments – Allegiance Administrators $450,000 Class Action Settlement

If you received a notice about the Allegiance Administrators settlement, you may be entitled to a cash payment without filing a claim form.

A proposed $450,000 class action settlement resolves allegations that Allegiance Administrators LLC and Autoguard Advantage Corporation improperly denied certain claims submitted under excess wear-and-tear protection waiver agreements for leased vehicles.

What happened?

The lawsuit claimed that Allegiance Administrators and Autoguard Advantage denied some lease wear-and-tear claims for reasons that were not allowed under the actual terms of the waiver agreements.

According to the lawsuit, some customers submitted eligible claims but were denied coverage based on reasons that allegedly were not supported by their contracts.

Who is eligible?

You may be included in the settlement if all of the following apply:

  • You entered into an Excess Wear & Tear Protection Waiver Agreement for a leased vehicle with Allegiance Administrators or Autoguard Advantage.
  • You submitted a claim for coverage under that agreement.
  • Your claim was denied for a reason that was not listed as a valid reason for denial under the agreement.
  • You received a settlement notice because company records identified you as a class member.

The settlement administrator identified approximately 736 class members who may qualify.

How much money can you get?

Payments will vary based on the value of your denied claim. After court-approved deductions for attorneys’ fees, costs, and service awards, the remaining settlement funds will be distributed among eligible class members.

Each payment will be calculated using:

Your denied claim amount ÷ Total denied claim amounts of all class members × Net settlement fund

No class member can receive more than the value of their denied claim.
