If you worked at America First Credit Union, don’t assume a payment is automatic.
You must submit a form to get money from this $850,000 settlement.
Here’s what to know—and how to claim your share before the deadline.
Why This Lawsuit Exists?
This case alleges that America First Credit Union (AFCU):
Failed to pay employees for all hours worked
Did not properly compensate for overtime
Required off-the-clock work, like:
Opening procedures
Logging into systems before clocking in
AFCU denies all allegations, and no court has ruled on the merits. The case was settled to avoid further litigation.
Who Qualifies?
You may be eligible if:
You worked as a nonexempt branch employee
You were employed anytime between November 3, 2022, and July 15, 2025
You worked at any AFCU branch in the United States
If you received a notice, it means records indicate you’re likely eligible.
How Much You Can Get?
There is no flat payment—your share depends on your work history.
Payments come from an $850,000 settlement fund
An estimated $485,125 goes to class members after fees and costs
How it’s calculated:
Each week worked = 1 point
Your share =
(Your weeks worked ÷ Total weeks worked by all claimants) × Net fund
Additional details:
50% of your payment is taxed as wages (W-2)
50% is non-wage income (1099)
