Did you buy movie tickets online for a New York Alamo Drafthouse between Aug. 29, 2022 and Jan. 30, 2024?
You may be eligible for a cash payout from a $7M class action settlement over surprise convenience fees.
Why Was This Lawsuit Filed?
The lawsuit claims Alamo Drafthouse broke New York law by not disclosing convenience fees until after users had selected their tickets. That’s allegedly a violation of the New York Arts and Cultural Affairs Law § 25.07(4).
Alamo denies any wrongdoing but agreed to a $7,075,000 settlement to resolve the case and avoid ongoing litigation.
