$3M Zoa Energy Drink False Advertising Class Action Settlement

If you bought ZOA Energy drinks labeled “0 Preservatives,” you may be eligible for cash payments of up to $150 per household from a new $3 million class action settlement—and no proof is required to file a basic claim.

Here’s what to know and how to take action quickly.

Why This Lawsuit Exists?

A class action lawsuit alleged that ZOA Energy falsely advertised certain drinks as having “0 Preservatives,” even though they contain citric acid and ascorbic acid.

ZOA Energy denies all wrongdoing, and the Court has not ruled on the merits of the case. However, both sides agreed to a settlement to avoid continued litigation costs and risk.

Who Qualifies for the Settlement?

You are included if all of the following are true:

  • You live in the United States
  • You purchased any ZOA Energy drink labeled “0 Preservatives”
  • The purchase was for personal use (not resale)
  • The purchase occurred between March 1, 2021 and November 21, 2025

Each household may submit one claim.

How Much Can You Get Paid?

Payments are based on how many products you purchased and whether you submit proof:

  • Up to $10 per household if you file without proof

  • Up to $150 per household if you file with receipts or accepted proof

Payments are calculated at $1 per unit purchased, subject to these caps.

If total approved claims exceed the funds available, payments may be reduced pro rata.
